Savoy spinach (also called curly leaf spinach) has crinkly, curly leaves that are very dark green. Because of its crisp texture and slightly bitter flavor, savoy spinach is best used for cooking, as opposed to being eaten raw.We strive to choose only organically grown or certified organic produce from as close to home as possible. However, sometimes we are unable to find a local AND organic option, and in that event we may choose to offer a pesiticide-free local product from a farmer that uses integrated pest management on their crops.

Producer description

To make sure you can always get the best produce and pantry items available, we source fruits, veggies and grocery items from many of our trusted local farmers and producers. As with all the products in our Marketplace, we prioritize working with local producers as seasonality allows, and we maintain our strict sourcing standards. Produce and pantry items that’s not available from Texas farmers or producers due to growing region or season will always be secondary when sourcing.

Curly leaf spinach should be washed, dried, packed loosely in a plastic bag, and then stored in the refrigerator crisper. Pulling out any wilted, discolored leaves can help the rest stay fresh. Properly stored, curly leaf spinach should last 3-4 days.
